Marcello Vitali-Rosati is Associate Professor in the Department of French Literature at the University of Montreal and holds the Canada Research Chair on Digital Textualities.
He carries a philosophical reflection on digital technologies issues: the concept of virtual, the digital identity, the notions of author and authorship, the formes of productions, dissemination, and legitimization of knowledge in the digital age, and the theory of editorialization – of which is one of most active contributors.
He is the author of several articles and monographies and he is also editor in chief of Sens Public journal and co-director od the “Parcours Numériques” collection at the Presses de l’Université de Montréal.
As chairholder of the CRC on digital textualities, he directs several digital humanities projects, particulary in the scholarly publishing field. Within this framework, journal editing and augmented monographies platforms are being developed as well as an article editing software and an editing platform for the collaborative edition of the Greek Anthology.
